Welcome back to Llanview!

The soap opera "One Life to Live," which was canceled by ABC over a year ago, has revived itself online. And fans of the daytime drama can expect to see some of their old favorite characters, as well as a few new faces, including "High School Musical" star Corbin Bleu.

"I was at home in L.A., and I got a phone call when I was told 'One Life to Live' was going to be remade and they were interested in me," Bleu tells omg! of how he landed the role. "I'm playing Jeffrey King and I love the character arc. With soaps they are always recast roles and there is so much history with these characters. But this is a brand new character I could start from scratch with.”

"Jeffery King gets hired at The Banner, a newspaper, and he gets hired freelance to help bring it online for the digital age," he continues. "The Banner is going under because it's still in the old school way of doing things. So, his boss hires this young journalist who is uncovering a big, scandalous story. There is a great relationship there because he isn't afraid to tell his boss the truth or [is] afraid of her at all. There is a bit of a power struggle that goes on."

Bleu says he isn't necessarily playing a "good" character: "There's a little bit of both, that was something that was exciting for me, his transformation."

Does that mean he could get an evil twin brother, or some other crazy soap opera storyline?

"With soaps you'd think, right? No evil twin brother at the moment. There will definitely be fun twists and turns coming."

Bleu found fame alongside Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens, and Ashley Tisdale in Disney Channel's "High School Musical" trilogy and he says he keeps in touch with "all of them still."

"With every project I always say I take at least one person I latch onto or we become great friends and I want to stay in contact," Bleu says. "That project wasn't just a two month thing, it was a transformation of our lives. Honestly, every single person I keep in touch with and it's a great family."

Any chance we might see one of them pop up on "One Life to Live"?

"I don't know, we'll see!" Bleu laughs. "We do have Snoop Lion guest starring. He is the coolest cat you will ever meet."

The "One Life to Live" revamp premiered on Hulu, Hulu Plus, and iTunes yesterday. Catch new episodes every weekday starting at 5 a.m. ET/2 a.m. PT.
