Back off, Fiddy! Just one month ago, a clip of Fox Sports' Erin Andrews swerving her head to avoid a kiss from rapper 50 Cent went viral on the Internet — but now there might be a good explanation for the apparent diss.
Turns out that Andrews, 34, is taken! L.A. Kings' hockey player Jarret Stoll, 30, confirmed to E! News that he and the sportscaster are, indeed, dating, confirming a few months of speculation.
"Things are good," Stoll told E! News, joking that "there's obviously some sports she knows a little bit more about than me, it bothers me a little bit, but I'll take it."
"Yeah, it's fine," he continued. "Right now it's great. It's her off-time right now — her down time — before baseball starts up again."
The NHL star explained that he and Andrews initially met through fellow athlete (and now TV host) Michael Strahan, and have been going strong for quite some time now.
In fact, he shared, the pair had a very "mellow, low-key" Valentine's Day together — that included a self-imposed curfew for him.
"We actually went for a nice dinner," Stoll said. "We spent that day out in Malibu, it was like the day before [Valentine's Day] … had a great day out there and then had a nice dinner out here by the beach. … [The Kings] played the next night, too, so I had a personal curfew set up. It wasn't a late one, but it was good."
Rumors that the pair were dating first circulated at the beginning of the year, after Andrews posted an Instagram of the couple looking cozy on New Year's Eve next to pals John Legend and Chrissy Teigen.
Stoll was formerly engaged to supermodel Rachel Hunter, Rod Stewart's ex-wife. The pair called it quits in June 2009.
