Krysten Ritter To Return for Veronica Mars Movie

Krysten Ritter confirmed on Friday, June 14 that she will be reprising her role in the "Veronica Mars" feature film.

The B is returning to her first big role! Having cheated death on more than one occasion as Gia Goodman on Veronica Mars, Krysten Ritter will return for the feature film of the popular TV series, she confirmed on Friday, June 14.

"G-G-G-Gia!!!! I'm thrilled to be reprising my role of Gia Goodman in the Veronica Mars movie!!! It's gonna be very juicy Marshmallows!" she wrote on her Facebook page. "Veronica Mars has a special place in my heart because it was my first big acting job and it was also one of the most lovely on-set experiences you could ever ask for."

The former Don't Trust the B—- in Apartment 23 actress continued, "This will truly be an awesome shoot, not only because we all get to be reunited (can't WAIT!) but because of the revolutionary way this all was able to come to life!"

Indeed, dedicated and long-standing fans played a big role in the movie getting the green light, raising $2 million in one day after a Kickstarter campaign was formed in March by the show's creator, Rob Thomas. 

Ritter, 31, who recently starred in the TV series Breaking Bad, will join Veronica Mars' protagonist Kristen Bell, 32, who was already part of the movie during the Kickstarter campaign.

After announcing the news, Ritter added, "Thank you, thank you, thank you to Rob Thomas, Kristen Bell, Kickstarter, and most of all, to you, our AMAZING FANS, for making it happen. I'm honored to be a part of it!"
