He's played a few creepy characters in his film career — remember his Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle villain? — and it turns out that Justin Theroux gets a kick out of spooking his famous fiancee. On the Thursday, April 18 episode of ELLEN, Jennifer Aniston admits to Ellen DeGeneres that she's not one to try and scare her loved ones.
"Have you not ever scared anyone before? Don't you like to scare? Don't you hide when Justin comes home?" DeGeneres asks Aniston, 44.
"No, he does that to me," the actress explains of her Wanderlust costar, 41, who proposed last summer, adding in her man's defense. "Well, he calls it trickery. But he's constantly hiding behind drapes."
The A-list star still hasn't gotten wise to said "trickery," she said. "I'm constantly scared. It's like it doesn't get old on me." And there are a lot of drapes to hide behind, too: The couple have been busy redecorating their $21 million Bel Air mansion, which features 8,500 square feet, four bedrooms, six-and-a-half bathrooms, swimming pool and even its own vineyard. Last month the pair were spotted mulling over 18th and 19th century "country antique" furniture at upscale stores in Hollywood.
(Maybe that antique browsing is distracting the couple from other shopping lists — like their wedding! At Tuesday's event for Call Me Crazy: A Five Film, which she produced, Aniston [bearing cupping marks on her back] claimed she has yet to pick out a wedding dress.)
DeGeneres also asked for Aniston's take on a prevelant — and debunked — internet rumor from earlier this week about a supposed Friends reunion.
"You[re hearing it here first, as a I!" she joked. (Friends co-creator Marta Kaufman officially shot down the talk earlier this week, clarifying that such a reunion will never, ever happen.) She conjectured to DeGeneres: "Did Matthew Perry start that? Because he's been getting some good airtime on this show!"
