It’s a Bluth brothers bromance! Jason Bateman and Will Arnett spent some quality time together in New York City on Thursday, May 16. Clearly having some fun with photographers, the Arrested Development costars — who play siblings Michael and George Bluth, respectively — held hands and pretended to go sightseeing while strolling through Manhattan’s TriBeca neighborhood.
Later that afternoon, the actors promoted the show’s revival by handing out frozen bananas at Bluth’s Original Banana Stand in Times Square. The cult series returns for a fourth season on May 26, seven years after Arrested Development was canceled by FOX.
The new 15 episodes will debut simultaneously via Netflix and feature guest appearances by actors John Krasinski, Kristen Wiig, Terry Crews, Isla Fisher, John Slattery and Erin Moran. “People watch Mad Men or Downtown Abbey and have to wait week-to-week,” Arnett told Us Weekly in March. “We don’t get pre-empted by baseball or anything.”
Previous guest stars like Liza Minnelli and Ben Stiller will reprise their roles as Lucille Austero and Tony Wonder, respectively. “It’s kind of like a dream, because I haven’t seen most of these people for like six or seven years, and now we’re all together and it feels like no time has passed at all,” series star Portia de Rossi (who plays Lindsay Bluth Funke) recently told Us. “They’re incredibly funny, incredibly talented people, and it’s just a joy to work with them.”
