A lot of women go out of their way to hide gray hair. Rihanna, on the other hand, is proudly showing hers off on Instagram. Of course, she’s a silver fox by choice; she dyed her formerly blonde strands black and added charcoal-colored highlights to create a daring new look.
The 25-year-old “Diamonds” singer revealed the salt-and-pepper hue on Wednesday, July 17, with a series of pictures on Instagram. “New color ice grey ish, call it #Brrr,” she captioned one shot, in which she gazes down at the camera from behind a pair of patterned sunglasses.
“Grey is the new black!” she wrote alongside another, which shows her seemingly topless and glaring sultrily through her sideswept bangs. “Blondies, it’s quiet for y’all! #Brrr.”
The change is just the latest in a long line of hair makeovers for the star. Past dye jobs have included blonde, brunette, and red hues — and she doesn’t just experiment with color. Earlier this year, she stepped out with half of her head shaved and the other half covered in long, wavy extensions.
