Anna Faris and Chris Pratt have years of history having been married since 2009, but on Wednesday’s episode of Bravo’s Top Chef, the couple imagines what life may have been like had they met on a reality TV show.
“You look so nice tonight,” Parks and Recreation‘s Pratt, 33, tells his wife, 36, as they mingle with cast members on the set Top Chef: Seattle before guest judging the Dec. 12 episode. (Watch a clip above.)
After a brief, awkward pause, Pratt then re-imagines meeting his bride in the confines of a reality show like The Bachelorette. “I don’t know if I could ever get used to it,” he admits as the couple take in Top Chef‘s cameras around them.
As the pair survey their surroundings, Pratt can’t help but crack jokes and get into character as a cheesy reality show contestant looking for love.
“I want you to know . . . that I could really, like, see myself — maybe — falling for you one day. I could see it,” he tells Faris with a straight face, before poking fun at the often outlandish challenges seen on reality shows. “When we did the ring toss the other day, I was like, ‘If I win, I know I’ll win her love.'” (Faris’ response? A girlish giggle.)
Welcoming their first child, son Jack, in late August, those close to the couple say their bond is unbreakable. “It’s funny that they have a kid, nobody in their group of friends expected it at all, they are such children at heart especially Chris, but they really love each other,” an insider tells Us Weekly of Pratt, who encouraged well-wishers to “mouth kiss a stranger” after his son’s birth.
Faris also has a sense of humor when discussing her plans to have more children. Eager to have eight children, the actress once told Us she and Pratt “want to populate the world!”
Top Chef airs Wednesday at 10 p.m. (EST) on Bravo.
