Kristen Stewart kicked some butt at the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards on Saturday, March 23. The 22-year-old Twilight actress accepted the award for Favorite Movie Actress from Sandra Bullock and Neil Patrick Harris right after the presenters got slimed — and she decided to get in on the fun.
Running her hands through the slime on the podium as she took the stage, Stewart said, “Dude, I was too much of a coward to accept this and now I’m like, what was I thinking,” she said. “Yo, so Nickelodeon has been my fave forever, which is why it’s so weird to be here . . . Rocko’s Modern Life is still on every single night. This is really cool. I really appreciate it. Twilight fans have been overwhelmingly amazing forever.”
Stewart then shared a cute story from her childhood to wrap up her speech. “I had a shirt in kindergarten, it said, ‘Kick butt first. Take names later,'” she shared. “Thank you very much for honoring me in this way, I feel like I’ve finally realized my kindergartener self.”
When the actress went to grab her blimp from Bullock, the slime-covered star offered her a big congratulatory hug first and Stewart, surprisingly, obliged! She then also gave Harris a big hug too, getting her blue Osman top and shorts ensemble covered in the green goo.
Stewart appeared to be having a fun time at the award show all night, even without boyfriend Robert Pattinson in attendance. The On the Road star met up with pals Katy Perry and Selena Gomez on the carpet, and even posed for a silly picture with them during the show while sitting on Perry’s lap!
