Vinny Guadagnino will be welcoming a whole slew of bold-faced name into his Staten Island home on his new MTV series The Show With Vinny, but it’s his mom Paola who steals the spotlight, the former Jersey Shore star told Us Weekly in a recent interview.
“She’s the breakout star. She’s funny. She doesn’t even try to be funny,” the reality star-turned-talk show host told Us. “She doesn’t even know what’s going on right now. She’s thinking about Anthony Hopkins probably.”
“No, I’m thinking about your future wife,” Paola shot back with a laugh.
The show, which 25-year-old Guadagnino calls a “hybrid reality/talk show,” will feature celebrities like Jenny McCarthy, Mark Wahlberg, Kat Graham, Tyler the Creator, and even Scott Disick spending time with him and his family being a “regular normal person.”
“You learn so much about them that you never knew before because you put anyone around my mom [and] they become like little kids,” he said.
A good portion of the show revolves around the dinner table, the reality star added. One guest who really surprised him was Disick, who turned out not to be a “douche.”
In fact, Guadagnino recalls, he was the “coolest dude” on the show. During his stay with the family, Disick even called longtime love Kourtney to chat a bit, and Paola got a chance to chat with the Kardashian women about cooking — or the lack thereof — in their household.
“They don’t cook supposedly,” she told Us. “They have a chef. They don’t cook. … I’m like, how do you not cook?”
