It's a sad day for MTV's Buckwild. On Monday, April 1, 21-year-old cast member Shain "Gandee Candy" Gandee was found dead in a vehicle in Sissonville, W.Va., along with his uncle and one other individual. As news of the tragedy spread, members of his extended MTV family took to social media to mourn the passing of one of their own. Among those who shared their condolences were Gandee's Buckwild costars, Jersey Shore alumni and cast members from Teen Mom 2 and The Hills.

MTV also expressed condolences for Gandee's family. "We are shocked and saddened by the terrible news about Shain Gandee, and those involved in this tragic incident," the network said in a statement. "We are waiting for more information but at this time, our main concern is for the Gandee family and their friends. Our thoughts and prayers are with them. Shain had a magnetic personality, with a passion for life that touched everyone he met and we will miss him dearly."
Gandee and his uncle, David Gandee, were reported missing on Sunday, March 31, when relatives were unable to reach them. They were last seen alive at around 3 a.m. that morning, when they told patrons at local watering hole Larry's Bar that they were going off-roading in Gandee's Ford Bronco.
