Breaking Bad Emmys Breakdancing Routine: Watch the Meth Makers Let Loose!

Who knew that meth makers had such serious moves? On Sunday, Sept. 22, Neil Patrick Harris introduced the Emmy Award for Outstanding Choreography in a most untraditional manner — with the help of several dancers kicking up their heels to a mash-up of “Luck Be a Lady” and Daft Punk’s “Get Lucky.”

The song-and-dance number kicked off with Harris, 40, singing the iconic Guys and Dolls ditty in front of a red backdrop with hands reaching out seductively around him. When the backdrop broke away, however, Harris was quickly spun in to a number of different “scenes” representing each of the nominated shows, including Mad Men, American Horror Story, Game of Thrones, Boardwalk Empire and The Big Bang Theory.

But it was the segment for Breaking Bad that drew the most head scratches, however, with two men dressed in bright yellow hazard suits pop-and-locking and spinning cubes made to look like pieces of the periodic table.

The meth makers didn’t even crack an ironic smile as they twirled the cubes and ended their short number on cue, with the blocks held in place over the banner for the show. Derek Hough ultimately took home the win for his choreography of “Hey Pachuco,” “Walking On Air,” and “Para Los Rumberos” on Dancing With the Stars.

It was a victorious night for the smash AMC show, which actually aired its penultimate episode opposite the Emmys on Sunday evening. The series took home the prize for best drama series over critically acclaimed House of Cards, and Anna Gunn won the best supporting actress award for her role on the show.
