Wedding foul, dude! Jimmy Fallon was among the 150 honored guests when Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel tied the knot at the Borgo Egnazia hotel in southern Italy on October 19 of last year. But according to Timberlake, 32, his late night comic buddy horned in on a very special, intimate moment during the reception as the "Suit and Tie" singer gave a speech in honor of his new wife, 31.
"Picture this: I’m in the heart of an impromptu speech at my wedding reception in front of 150 guests, pouring it out to my lovely new bride," Timberlake writes in the new issue of Time, in which Fallon, 38, is named on this year's Time 100 List of most influential people in the world.
Continues Timberlake of his reception speech, where guests like Andy Samberg, Beverley Mitchell and ?uestlove looked on: "You could hear a pin drop. I paused for just a moment in between thoughts. And then there was Jimmy, shouting a joke from his seat, sparking an improv between the two of us that went on for a good five or 10 minutes and had all our guests roaring with laughter."
The singer-actor admits he was taken aback by Fallon's brazen move. "Interrupting the groom's speech at the wedding reception? Cracking jokes when your buddy is looking desperately for the words to say that he hopes his wife will remember forever?"
His praised his pal, who will assume Jay Leno's perch on NBC's Tonight Show next year: "It turned into a moment that everyone there will remember forever. Anyone else would have bombed on that stage. And then I would have kicked their ass."
