Danica Patrick is trading in the race track for the rodeo for one night only, as a co-host for this year's American Country Awards with country legend Trace Adkins, it was announced on Tuesday, Sept. 17.
The popular NASCAR driver will help introduce acts like Reba McEntire, Blake Shelton, Rascal Flatts, and Uncle Kracker, as well as present awards to a few lucky ACA nominees, ranging from Taylor Swift to Miranda Lambert to Lady Antebellum.
"I can't wait to see if I have what it takes to keep up with this racing superstar," Adkins said in a statement. The Grammy-nominated singer was joined onstage by Broadway star Kristen Chenoweth for last year's show.
The country singer isn't the only one who's eager for the unlikely stage matchup, however. Patrick said in a statement that she's "excited" to try her hand at a new venture.
"I have no doubt he'll be able to keep up with me," the 31-year-old racer said in a statement. "I've become a huge fan of country music since I came to NASCAR. This is going to be a really cool experience and I'm excited to be a part of it. It's going to be a great show!"
The American Country Awards will take place at the Mandalay Bay resort in Las Vegas on Dec. 10, and air live on Fox.
