They grow up so quickly! Neil Patrick Harris looked like a proud — and busy! — papa while trying to hail a cab in New York City on Friday, April 12. The How I Met Your Mother actor, 39, got a helping hand from an unidentified woman while he took twins Harper and Gideon, 2, on an outing.
The dapper dad looked protective as he kept an eye on his not-so-tiny tots on the busy NYC street, dressed down in a black leather jacket, jeans and black fedora.
Harper and Gideon, meanwhile, looked fashionably chic in little zip-up jackets and bite-size sneakers.
Harris and fiance David Burtka, 37, welcomed their dual bundles of joy via surrogate in October 2010, and have been happily enjoying family time together ever since. The pair, who announced their engagement in June 2011, have even spoken out about possibly expanding their brood.
"I want a ton of kids," Burtka told Oprah Winfrey on Oprah's Next Chapter in May 2012. "I was told you're not really a family until your kids outnumber you."
A good-natured Harris added: "In all of our copious free time, we'll have more children."
The pair fended off rumors that their relationship was on the rocks earlier this year, with Harris tweeting out a simple, nonchalant denial. "The Nat. Enq. is cray cray. We've never had a wedding date, just engaged (Prop 8 and all). We're on a cruise as I write. He's rad. All good."
