Bill Hader tells GQ that he doesn't know if he'll do any more impressions after leaving Saturday Night Live.

After eight seasons, Bill Hader will make his final Saturday Night Live appearance on Saturday, May 18. The 34-year-old comic — known for creating offbeat characters like Stefon, Herb Welch and Lyle Round — grants GQ an exit interview in its June comedy issue.

"I don't know if I'll keep doing more impressions," says the Emmy-nominated star, who's parodied everyone from Al Pacino to Clint Eastwood on the NBC sketch comedy series. "People told me I had a facility for it, and I was like, 'Okay, I'm the impression guy.' So you imagine the cast at SNL is an A-Team, and you've got the explosives guy, and I'm the impression guy."

Though some Saturday Night Live fans are clamoring for a Stefon movie, Hader doesn't think his flamboyant Weekend Update character would transition well on the big screen. "There's no emotional through line," he explains. "Sometimes people say to me, 'I want a Stefon movie,' and I'm like, 'You think you want a Stefon movie, but then you'll see the poster for it and think: 'Wait, I don't want this.'"

Hader adds that he plans to "sleep" and spend more time with his family once his Saturday Night Live days are over. The 34-year-old also plans to relocate from New York City to L.A. "I met my wife in California and lived out there before this," he says of writer-director Maggie Carey, with whom he has two daughters. "We have good friends out there."

The Superbad scene stealer isn't the only one leaving Saturday Night Live, however. Seth Meyers recently announced that he will replacing Jimmy Fallon as the host of Late Night next spring. "When I heard the news, I started clapping — you know, just by myself, clapping. It's amazing. He is the perfect fit," Hader tells GQ of Meyers. "I've watched as SNL hosts come into our office and we pitch them ideas and Seth is always at ease with them. He's naturally and genuinely curious about people. And he really is such a funny writer. I've learned more from him about sketch comedy than probably anybody."
