No more fighting for the Walsh siblings! Days after Shannen Doherty slammed Jason Priestley‘s 2014 memoir, the actor took to Twitter to respond in a classy way, much like his Beverly Hills, 90210 dreamboat character Brandon Walsh would.
“PS. Love you Shannen…I had nothing but love for you in my book,” Priestley, 45, tweeted on Monday, Jan. 19. “…had u read it u would have seen…”
Last week, Doherty was steered off topic while discussing her new reality series Off the Map on Jenny Hutt’s SiriusXM show, Just Jenny. At the time, Doherty, 43, responded to Priestley’s claim that she threw a fit when the Beverly Hills, 90210 cast was once driven to the airport in a taxi cab instead of a limo.
“I love Jason, but you know he had a car accident, a racing accident, and I think maybe parts of his memory got altered from that,” she told Hutt, referring to Priestley’s horrific 2002 car crash that left him with a severe head injury and fractured spine. “Everybody changes. They have their own perception of the truth. His is definitely different than mine.”
Doherty and Priestley played on-screen siblings Brenda and Brandon Walsh on Beverly Hills, 90210 in the early ’90s. Like any sister and brother relationship, however, the two appear to be quickly getting over the incident.
“Nothing but love for you too Jason,” Doherty responded to Priestley’s tweet via Twitter on Monday. “#misunderstood #history #90210 #allgood #greatmemories.”
