Back to work for new dad Reggie Bush! After welcoming his first child, a baby girl, with fiancee Lilit Avagyan on Monday, May 6 in L.A., the Detroit Lions running back is already back in Michigan working out with his team.
In a blog post on the Detroit Lions' website posted Wednesday, May 8, Bush, 28, said he left L.A. the day after his daughter's birth to return to his team, but will fly back to L.A. for the weekend to be with his family.
"Leaving yesterday was very tough. I've been looking at baby pictures the whole time since I've been back," he said. "It was tough to leave, but I can't wait to get back — I'm going back tomorrow after workouts."
"Each week I'll be here Monday through Thursday with the team, and I'll fly back Thursday afternoon. I'll be home with my fiancee and the baby until Sunday, then I'll fly back," he explained of his travel plans.
Bush signed with the Detroit Lions in March 2013. Flying back and forth between L.A. and Detroit may be rough, but the new dad says his teammates have been very supportive. "Everybody seems pretty cool," he said. "I wasn't surprised, but I was just pleased with how supportive everyone was of, obviously, me missing time and being back home to have a baby."
The NFL player and Avagyan, a 25-year-old dancer, have been dating for about a year and a half. Bush, who previously dated Kim Kardashian for several years, said in an earlier blog post that the pregnancy "couldn't have come with a better person."
