It’s official! Keith Powell has tied the knot with visual artist Jill Knox, his rep confirms. The former 30 Rock star (aka Toofer) and his girlfriend of four years exchanged vows at Tribeca Rooftop in New York City on Saturday, Oct. 12.
The newlyweds were feted by 200 family and friends for their special day. The bride wore a Rosa Clara wedding gown as the groom wore a custom tux from Requisite Clothing. Famous guests included Powell’s former 30 Rock costars Katrina Bowden, Maulik Pancholy and Judah Friedlander.
“The vows were sweet, funny and full of tears,” a source tells Us Weekly. The couple walked down the aisle to Motown tunes provided by a jazz trio, and also enjoyed the music during the cocktail hour. Guests of the lovebirds enjoyed sushi, a raw bar, charcuterie, baby lamb chops and a vodka bar. They later feasted on a bibb lettuce salad, seabass and shortribs and a key lime cake with strawberries for dessert. The couple’s first dance was to “Your Song” by Elton John.
Powell — also known for his work in the TV series Keith Powell Directs a Play and the film Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian — popped the question to Knox in July 2012 while on a picnic in the Hollywood Hills section in L.A. His planned proposal included bystanders waiting in the park to help him serenade Knox. The actor also gave his blushing bride-to-be a fortune cookie with a message that asked: “Jill Knox, will you marry me?”
