Supermodel Karlie Kloss tells Vanity Fair that designers have told her she's "too famous" to walk in their runway shows.

Has Karlie Kloss made too much of a name for herself? According to Vanity Fair, the 21-year-old model has officially reached supermodel status — but Kloss says it comes with a price.

Vanity Fair asked the Victoria's Secret Angel, "What is the top excuse designers give for not using you in a show?" Kloss responded, "'You are too famous. No one will pay attention to the clothes.'"

Kloss has quickly gained recognition in the modeling world. In 2013 alone, she was the face of Donna Karan, Lacoste and Lanvin campaigns. Earlier in the year, the model started a trend by famously chopping off her long locks into a chin-length haircut. Vogue called it the "cut of the moment," while the New York Times declared it "the haircut of the year."

In the August 2013 issue of Allure, Moss, 39, said she doesn't mind having a celebrity status because it also earns her magazine covers. "Everyone's a celebrity. But I'm kind of a celebrity now, so even though I'm not an actress, people know my name," she said. "I'm not just a face."
