The video clip for “Work Bitch,” the smash lead single off Britney Spears‘ upcoming new studio album, debuted online past midnight on Wednesday, Oct. 2 — and it’s the sexiest, most energetic clip we’ve seen from the 31-year-old pop superstar in years. (Her body doesn’t look bad, either.)
As teased by several Instagram snaps over the past few weeks, Spears does her thing out in the desert and within glossy, super-luxe club interiors, which ties in nicely with her upcoming Las Vegas residency.
In the lovably over-the-top piece, the former teen phenom rocks several bikinis (with stilettos, naturally), S&M-inspired outfits and more as she dances — really, really dances — with a sexy crew backing her up. The S&M stuff isn’t just for show, either: Spears cracks a whip as a female dancer crouches nearby in one notable sequence.
Chanting the bossy, campy lyrics (“You wanna Maserati? You wanna Bugati? Party in France?”) Spears interacts at various points with a bound-and-gagged woman, sports cars, exploding stuff — and sharks! Yes, sharks.
