Kate Bosworth shares details about her wedding rings with Us Weekly

Kate Bosworth's wedding bands are the ultimate bling rings. The Straw Dogs actress, 30, chose not one but two custom-made platinum bands by online luxury jeweler Ocappi to commemorate her Aug. 31 Big Sky nuptials to writer-director Michael Polish in Philipsburg, Mont. — and Us Weekly has all the exclusive details from Bosworth herself on how they were created.

"The design of the wedding band is based off the design of the engagement ring, which is a 1920s Art Deco design," the bride explains of the inspiration for her double-band. "On the engagement ring, there are two delicate baguettes supporting the main diamond. We wanted to create a wedding band that incorporated 12 of these diamond baguettes for each month of the year."

To that end, Ocappi's creative director Haki Abehsera set to work on realizing Bosworth's vision. The company came up with two bands, one of which featured 12 diamond baguettes set horizontally in platinum. Handcrafting the sparkler took more than 18 hours — but the finished product was well worth the time and effort.

"We are amazed at the level of execution of a design this unique," the Big Sur actress gushes. "Because this is a ring worn every day, it is essential that it reflects our personal aesthetic."

Abehsera is likewise thrilled with the end product. "Collaborating with Kate was so wonderful, because she has such a great style sense that it made the creative process so vivid," Ocappi's creative director tells Us. "She expressed how much she loved her engagement ring and how she wanted something to accompany it without taking too much attention away from it."

Adds Ocappi president Isaac Gurary: "We were so delighted with how they both turned out and how beautiful they looked on Kate's hand that it only made sense for her wedding band to be a double band."

As previously reported, Bosworth tied the knot with Polish at a small gathering of around 70 family members and friends at The Ranch at Rock Creek. She walked down the aisle in an ivory Oscar de la Renta ball gown featuring an 8-foot-long, 16-foot-wide train; later, for the reception, she changed into a floral-embroidered tulle dress.
