Khloe Kardashian is trying to stay positive. Just hours after her husband Lamar Odom got arrested for a DUI on Friday, Aug. 30, the reality star tweeted, "Smile and no one will notice."
The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star previously tried to deflect attention away from the situation hours before by posting a glamour photo with her hair and makeup team — Joyce Bonelli, Jen Atkin and Rob Scheppy — via Instagram. "Omg you can totally not sit with us," she quipped alongside her friends.
Odom, 33, was arrested for driving too slowly on the 101 Freeway in the San Fernado Valley on Friday. He refused to take a chemical test as well, amid the news that he's battling substance abuse. Public Information Officer Leland Tang confirmed to Us Weekly that the athlete's driving privileges have been taken away for a year.
"The addiction had taken over their marriage," an insider told Us of Odom and Kardashian's nearly four year union. "The problem is cocaine. He would be high for three or four days at a time." Another added: "[Kardashian] wants to save her marriage and him. She says the things he does are because of the drugs, and she just wants him to get help."
