Eli Manning, Peyton Manning Film Hilarious “Football on Your Phone” Rap Video

Move over, Andy Samberg and Justin Timberlake — there’s a new badly coiffed musical duo in town! Football stars Eli and Peyton Manning have teamed up to promote DirecTV’s NFL Sunday Ticket with a hilarious music video called “Football on Your Phone,” in which the Super Bowl MVPs rap about, well, watching football on your phone.

The Saturday Night Live-esque three-minute parody features the brothers — in bad wigs and outrageous costumes — tossing around a golden football and spitting rhymes while three miniskirt-wearing backup singers dance behind them. “Your phone ain’t for callin’ / Your phone’s for footballin’!” they rap.

Other sample lyrics include: “It’s football on your phone, that’s what I said / It’s football on your phone, you can watch it in bed / Take it with you wherever you go / Show your friends and watch them all go ‘Ho!'”

The video also includes a cameo by the Manning brothers’ dad, Archie, as well as a larger-than-life picture of Alexander Graham Bell, the inventor of the telephone.

“Peyton and I had fun doing the skit,” Eli — who rocks a perm in the video — told the Associated Press on Wednesday, Aug. 7, before practice with the New York Giants. “Obviously [we] got a lot of laughs together just every time we would kind of look at each other and wonder what we were doing.”

Don’t look for him in concert anytime soon, though. “No, I think will stay with my day job and keep playing football for as long as possible,” he quipped. “A one and done. A one-hit wonder probably.”
