The drop by is in response to his May 21 hit-and-run with a California woman, to whom he allegedly refused to hand over his driver's license. A judge ultimately decided that because there was no arrest at the time, the "Don't Wake Me Up" singer had to turn himself in to be booked for the incident no later than Tuesday, Aug. 6. At the time of the ordeal, a judge also revoked Brown's felony probation from his 2009 Rihanna assault.

"It's not a hit and run if u get out the car, exchange information (who has NO DAMAGE to either cars). This is really ridiculous," the artist wrote via Twitter at the time. "I have a valid drivers license and I gave the woman the right info. She saw cameras and wanted to make a scene."

Brown is due back for a trial for the hit-and-run case on Thursday, Aug. 15.
