Some good news from the set of TODAY! Savannah Guthrie is engaged to political consultant Mike Feldman, the anchor revealed from the NBC show’s set on Monday, May 13. Her co-anchor Matt Lauer first revealed the news — and a Twitpic of the ring. “Big news from Savannah!” wrote Lauer beneath a shot of Guthrie, 41, flashing her ring and looking teary-eyed with joy.
Al Roker also chimed in, sharing the pic via Instagram. “”@savannahguthrie and her engagement ring. Congrats to her and fiancé Mike Feldman.”
Added MSNBC’s Chuck Todd, a pal of Feldmans’s: “Hey @feldmike, it’s clear @SavannahGuthrie is doing serious damage to the @todayshow table. So exciting.”
During the broadcast, Hangover III star Bradley Cooper helped celebrate the news by bringing Guthrie flowers and, cheekily, asking the bride-to-be her phone number.
“I’m so excited!” Guthrie gushed on air. She and Feldman have been dating for four years. “He’s the best person . . . And I know him so well too. We adore each other. Our families have been in-laws for years…they were just waiting for us to catch up!”
