Michelle Williams may have found love closer to home: Brooklyn! Four months after Us Weekly broke news of her breakup with Jason Segel, the Oscar-nominated actress, 32, was snapped looking awfully comfy with artist Dustin Yellin in NYC’s hippest borough on Tuesday, June 4.
In one adorkably romantic shot, the Oz the Great and Powerful star walks against a brick wall holding a broken umbrella as scruffy, curly haired Yellin, 37, rides alongside on a bike.
In another photo, Yellin grins and stays close to Williams — fresh-faced in a frilly print dress — as the pair hung out in a Brooklyn park for a kids’ birthday party. Yellin was also spotted holding hands with Matilda, Williams’ 7-year-old daughter with her late ex Heath Ledger. (Williams and Matilda have long called Brooklyn home.)
Williams and Yellin were first seen holding hands back in May after the star’s solo appearance at the Met Gala in NYC. The star and How I Met Your Mother‘s Segel, 33, ended their one-year romance in February in what pals told Us was a “mutual” split. “It’s a sad moment. They respect each other,” one source said. Added another friend: “They had a lot of fun, but it just didn’t work,” explaining that their bicoastal romance proved too demanding.
“Raising the kid is the work, yeah. And it’s amazing, and it’s the ultimate creative act,” Williams said of her prioritites back in April. “That’s my side project and my center project.”
