As Paris Jackson recovers from her frightening June 5 suicide attempt, and hopefully gets all the psychological help she needs, the late Michael Jackson's 15-year-old daughter has much to look forward to — including a planned film acting debut in Lundon's Bridge and the Three Keys.

Author Dennis Christen, who wrote the book upon which the film is based and is a producer on the upcoming film, tells Us Weekly that the project is still a go. "Paris is very important to us and we all love her deeply. Any comment about her private life will have to come from her family," Christen says.

As funding and pre-production wraps up, Christen tells Us that "Paris will do a delightful job in her role . . . She's been concentrating on developing her acting skills and is becoming a very proficient actor."

The writer and producer continues: "We are confident that when we are ready to roll the cameras, she will be ready for the task."

Late Tuesday June 4, the troubled teen cut herself with a kitchen knife, downed 20 Motrin and left a suicide note, sources confirmed to Us. "She has major depression issues, a lot of it stemming from her dad's death," one insider noted. Jackson is now "physically fine" and safe in an L.A. hospital, various family members confirmed.

"We wish her the very best as she works through this difficult time," Christen adds. "She knows that she has millions of fans out there that love her deeply and only want happiness for her."

Paris' acting debut in the half-animated underwater adventure was confirmed in late 2011 — but at least one member of the Jackson family objected. Paris' most famous aunt, Janet Jackson, was "furious" about the role, sources told Us last July. "She feels it goes against Michael's wishes to keep his kids out of the the limelight until age 18," an insider said. "Janet thinks Paris should enjoy being a kid and possibly go to college."
