Kelly Osbourne may have left Fashion Police, but she’s still opening up to fans on national TV. The former E! co-host appeared on The Talk on Tuesday, March 24, and revealed that she may also have to undergo preventative surgery like Angelina Jolie.
“I actually do have the cancer gene,” the 30-year-old said on her mom Sharon Osbourne’s talk show. “My mom made all of us get tested after she found out that she had it and got her double mastectomy.”
The topic came up while discussing Angelina Jolie’s recent admission that she had her ovaries and fallopian tubes removed after her doctor found inflammatory markers in her blood test which could be a sign of early ovarian cancer.
“I agree with this 100 percent,” Osbourne said of Brad Pitt’s wife’s terrifying decision, which sent her into menopause. “I know that one day I will eventually have to do it too because if I have children, I want to be there to bring them up. I want to be there to support them in every way I can.”
“It’s something I applaud Angelina for because she’s bringing attention to this,” Osbourne added. “People are now going to go out and get tested for it.”
