At least she can laugh about it! After suffering an accidental nip slip at the 2013 Emmy Awards on Sunday, Sept. 22, Tina Fey turned her wardrobe malfunction into comedy gold for her Saturday Night Live hosting promo video.
The 43-year-old SNL alum will return to the NBC sketch comedy show to kick off the Season 39 premiere on Saturday, Sept. 28, which will also feature musical guest Arcade Fire. In one of the promo clips, SNL cast member Kenan Thompson pokes fun at Fey’s Emmys fashion mishap. (On Sunday, Fey’s stunning Narcisco Rodriguez gown gaped in the front and exposed a peek of her breasts as she accepted the award for Outstanding Writing in a Comedy Series.)
“And there will be no more wardrobe malfunctions like at the Emmys,” Thompson says. “I mean, unless you want to do one. I think it could be funny.”
“It’s not going to happen. It’s under control. It’s not going to happen again,” Fey says, while lifting up her arms to reveal her (censored) naked chest under a black blazer. “Forgot my shirt,” she realizes. “I forgot my shirt.”
In another funny clip, Fey tells viewers, “We promise, SNL will be over in time for you to watch the Breaking Bad finale.”
“Yeah, like 18 hours before that,” Thompson quips about the AMC drama series that airs Sunday night.
“And who knows, there might even be some fun Breaking Bad cameos this Saturday. Like, ever heard of this guy?” Fey asks, with the camera panning to a blank stage. “Okay, no. We’ve got nothing,” she admits. “But please, still watch?”
