Introducing the future Mr. and Mrs. Kimye! Kim Kardashian and Kanye West made their first red carpet appearance together since getting engaged earlier this week at the Dream for Future Africa Foundation Gala at Beverly Hills hotspot Spago on Thursday, Oct. 24.
Arriving hand-in-hand in a black Escalade just after 8:00 p.m., the happy couple were immediately bombarded by paparazzi. “Everyone went nuts over their arrival,” an onlooker tells Us Weekly.
West, 36, wore black pants, a black sport coat, a charcoal-gray T-shirt, and a gold diamond grill for the occasion. His fiancee, meanwhile, showed off her gorgeous post-baby curves in a fitted, cream-colored frock with ruching, three-quarter-length sleeves, and a small, skin-baring cutout across her flat midriff. She kept her accessories to a minimum, letting her 15-carat diamond from the rapper take center stage.
“Kim looked proud to be showing off her figure and her beautiful engagement ring,” the onlooker tells Us of the reality star and mom to 4-month-old North. “She seemed to be in great spirits.”
With good reason. The brunette beauty — who celebrated her 33rd birthday on Monday, Oct. 21 — is no doubt still flying high after accepting her fiance’s marriage proposal earlier this week.
“It was magical,” a source previously told Us of the surprise engagement, which involved a JumboTron message at San Francisco’s AT&T Park, as well as 50 friends and loved ones. “It was the most romantic thing ever — the ultimate surprise!”
“She’s definitely in love and so happy,” the insider added. “It was one of those fairy-tale moments.”
Indeed, the couple seem poised for a happily-ever-after. “Kim was glowing by Kanye’s side” at the Dream for Future Africa Foundation Gala, the first onlooker tells Us. “You can tell how in love they are with one another. They seem to make a great couple.”
