As his How I Met Your Mother alter ego would say, legen — wait for it — dary! Neil Patrick Harris added to the growing list of photobombs this awards season when he popped up behind an unsuspecting Chrissy Teigen and John Legend while they were taking a selfie at the 2014 Grammy Awards on Sunday, Jan. 26.

Harris, who introduced the performance by Album of the Year winners Daft Punk and special guest Stevie Wonder, hilariously inserted himself into the gorgeous couple's picture while seated behind them during the show. "One can only be so lucky to get a NPH photobomb," Teigen, 28, captioned the photo of herself with her husband, who performed his hit "All of Me" and was nominated for R&B album of the year.

The How I Met Your Mother actor had some similarly kind words for the model's longtime love. "John Legend is phenomenal," he wrote in one of many funny tweets during the broadcast. "I was sure he was singing to me, kept looking right at me. Realized his wife was one row behind me. #nexttime."

He also offered some witty commentary on Taylor Swift's epic headbanging during her performance of "All Too Well." "Taylor Swift looks super hot," he tweeted. "I'd try to steal her hair moves for @HedwigOnBway, but I fear I'd lose my wig." (Harris is set to star in the Broadway production of the musical Hedwig and the Angry Inch this spring.)

Of Beyonce — who opened the Grammys with a too-hot-to-handle rendition of "Drunk In Love" with husband Jay Z — he wrote: "Beyonce is sexxxy! @DavidBurtka said, 'She could turn a gay man straight!' Now I'm worried."

Later, after the show was over, he added: "My face hurts from smiling. That was one of the coolest things I've ever gotten to see. Much much love. Well done, Grammys."
