Kate Gosselin appears to be making a racist gesture in a newly surfaced photo of her pulling the skin around her eyes back.

Et tu, Kate? Kate Gosselin may just be the latest bold-faced name to spark a racial controversy after an image of the reality star surfaced on Sunday, June 23, showing the mother-of-eight making what appears to be a racist gesture mocking Asians.

The image, which was tweeted out by Twitter user Katie Deen on Sunday evening, shows the former TLC star in a red halter top with what looks like a Geisha or sumo-inspired headpiece, pulling the skin around her eyes back in a universally recognized gesture making fun of Asians.

The 38-year-old mother is also notably wearing her a band on her ring finger, suggesting that the photo may have been taken prior to her 2009 divorce from husband Jon Gosselin.

The reality TV couple have eight children together — twins Cara and Maddie, 12, and sextuplets Aaden, Collin, Joel, Leah, Alexis and Hannah, 9.

Jon, 36, is of half-Korean descent (his mother is Korean, and his father was half-French and half-Welsh).

Earlier this year, Kate confirmed to Radar Online that she would be pursuing a lawsuit against a friend of her ex-husband, Robert Hoffman, who released a tell-all e-book titled Kate Gosselin: How She Fooled the World, last fall. The title was pulled from Amazon shortly after its release; Kate charged that Hoffman had illegally obtained confidential documents to write the book.
