Kanye West is hitting the road! On Friday, Sept. 6, the "Black Skinhead" rapper announced a 23-city North American tour to promote his new album, Yeezus. The tour will kick off with a performance at Seattle's Key Arena on Oct. 19 and run for seven weeks.

In the span of those seven weeks, West, 36, will be making stops in major cities all over the U.S. and Canada, including Las Vegas, L.A., Chicago, Philadelphia, New York City, Vancouver, and Montreal. He'll play his final show at the Toyota Center in Houston, Tex., on Dec. 7.

Kendrick Lamar — who recently made headlines for dissing half the hip hop world in a verse for Big Sean's "Control" — will be the opening act for all but five of the 23 dates. A yet-to-be-announced "special guest" will open when he doesn't.

This is West's first tour since his Watch the Throne trek with pal Jay Z in 2011, and his first solo tour since his Glow in the Dark tour in 2008. Tickets will go on sale beginning Friday, Sept. 13.

(Incidentally, Jay Z also announced new North American tour dates on Friday. His Magna Carter tour includes 34 dates in cities including L.A., Las Vegas, Washington, D.C., Boston, Atlanta, and Brooklyn, N.Y.)

West's tour news comes just a couple of months after the birth of the hip hop star's daughter, North, with girlfriend Kim Kardashian. As Us Weekly reported in May, both mom and baby are expected to hit the road as part of the rapper's entourage.

"Yes, it's true," a source told Us of reports that Kardashian, 32, would join West on tour. "This was always the plan."
