Giving the people what they want! Hilary Duff released a new version of her “Sparks” music video on Thursday, May 28, debuting the “Fan-Demanded Version” just two weeks after the original.
The Lizzie McGuire alum, 27, had brief dance sequences in her first installment for the single, but spent much of the video discussing her new single life and going on Tinder dates. Fans made no mistake of voicing their opinions on the visuals to Duff, requesting a traditional dance video in place of the unofficial Tinder ad.
“So I hear you guys want an alternate version of #SparksVideo? WELL IT’S COMING ON THURSDAY!!” Duff tweeted earlier this week, going on to add on Thursday morning, “I made this just for you guys! Here is my new fan-demanded video for #Sparks!”
The hot new “Sparks” video reintroduces Duff as a pop star, more than 10 years after she saw her greatest musical success with the 2003 album Metamorphosis. The “Come Clean” singer goes through multiple outfit changes for the new clip, breaking it down in front of backup dancers and biting her lip as she sings.
“You can promise castles, treasures, babies / I don’t care,” Duff croons as she twerks. “‘Cause right now you’re just enough for me / I want you near / Like a fairy tale to feel your breath right on my neck / You remember what I love so baby take me back / Turn down the lights down low and kiss me under the dark / ‘Cause when you’re touching me baby I see sparks.”
The upbeat jam is the latest cut off of the mother of one’s upcoming fifth studio album. Breathe In. Breathe Out. is scheduled to hit stores on June 16, marking the former child star’s first album since the 2007 release of Dignity.
