Funny or Die Mocks Duggar Molestation Scandal With No-Holds-Barred Spoof: Watch

Eek. Funny or Die didn’t hold back in its inevitable spoof of 19 Kids and Counting star Josh Duggar’s molestation scandal — and his parents Jim Bob and Michelle’s imagined acceptance.

In a no-holds-barred spoof, comics Erin Gibson and Greg Jones portray the controversial Christian parents and address the sexual abuse scandal surrounding their now 27-year-old son.

“We would like to talk to you America because our son is in a pickle,” they tell the camera. “When Josh was a teenager he made a mistake. He mistaked two girls on their tutus — that’s what we call breasts,” Jones, in full Jim Bob attire, explains.

“The point is, we handled it, okay?…When we were first told about Josh’s mistakes, we did the right thing, and we ignored the girl that came forward,” Gibson harshly jokes. “Girls lie all the time, it’s what they do.”

Comics Erin Gibson and Greg Jones mock Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar in a Funny or Die spoof.

“Some other girls did come forward but, and some of them were our daughters but honestly, if you ask us which one, I don’t know. The brunette with the curly hair?” she continued to mock the nearly identical family of 21.

The spoof ends by reminding viewers that the Duggars find gay people more dangerous than their son’s actions. “Homosexuals prey on children and they do not deserve to walk on God’s great Earth,” Gibson concludes.

Following real-life Josh Duggar’s admission, Michelle and Jim Bob released a statement via their family website saying their son’s “very bad mistakes” inspired them to draw closer to God.

Advertisers, TLC, and other video-streaming platforms, including Hulu, feel differently. While TLC has yet to announce the show’s cancelation, the network has pulled the episodes from the air and is in talks to produce a spinoff revolving around Jill and Jessa Duggar, as well as their husbands Derick Dillard and Ben Seewald.
