Keke Palmer is ready for the Emmy Awards! Set to walk the red carpet on Monday, Aug. 25 in support of her nominated Lifetime movie The Trip to Bountiful, Palmer, 20, tested out potential beauty looks during an Us Weekly photo shoot on Aug. 5.
“Keke is very open to new looks and I appreciate that. Being a young actress, she’s in a position to experiment — we respect her opinions and collaborate,” Palmer’s longtime makeup artist Agostina told Us.
While trying on designer gowns at Us Weekly‘s shoot, Palmer — set to star in Broadway’s Cinderella starting Sept. 9 — worked with Agostina on a potential makeup palette for Emmy night. During her fitting, Palmer modeled a sexy Lorena Sarbu gown that she and Agostina enhanced with gold, black and grey toned eye makeup. Agostina finished Palmer’s test look with a bright red lip color to match her gown.
Tight-lipped about her final red carpet look, Palmer hinted that her ensemble is ethereal and “fairy tale-ish.” Says the actress: “It’s the first time I’m going to the Emmys as an adult, and my life is changing . . . I feel like a princess.”
