Gone but not forgotten. Wiz Khalifa made sure Paul Walker was in everyone’s minds on Sunday, May 17, as he paid an emotional tribute to the late Fast and Furious star during the 2015 Billboard Music Awards.
The rapper gave a performance that tugged at everyone’s heart strings at the Las Vegas music awards show, with an emotional rendition of his hit single “See You Again,” introduce by Furious 7 stars Ludacris and Tyrese.
Charlie Puth, who sings on Khalifa’s track, brought tears to the eyes of the audience members as he opened the performance, singing his stunning ballad while sitting at the piano.
It’s been a year and a half ago since Walker tragically died at the age of 40 in a car crash in California. A Walker tribute video for the hit song was released in April, showing footage of the late dad-of-one, both from his most recent blockbuster movie and from previous footage from the other films from the now famous franchise.
