Such good kids! Reese Witherspoon spilled on her three children in a new interview with the Today show on Wednesday, Jan. 7, and told Savannah Guthrie that there is little rivalry between the siblings.
"It's interesting," the Wild star, 38, said of being a mom to a set of adolescents and a toddler. "Two different things are happening all the time."
Witherspoon shares daughter Ava, 15, and son Deacon, 11, with her first husband Ryan Phillippe. After the couple's divorce in 2007, the Inherent Vice actress went on to meet and marry talent agent Jim Toth, expanding her and Toth's family with a third child, son Tennessee, in September 2012.
"It's kinda great because my older kids are just so in love with their baby brother and help out so much," she continued of Ava and Deacon's relationship with their 2-year-old sibling. "It's kind of like having this big extended family."
"We always talk about in our house, the more people that love you, the better your life is," Witherspoon added. "I love it."
Witherspoon has spoken about her family life in the past, expressing her joy to Marie Claire in 2011 over finding a man who embraced her kids from her first marriage.
"You know, somebody close to me once said, 'Oh, no man will ever accept your children,'" she explained. "I just thought it was the most horrifying thing someone has ever said to me in my entire life. I was determined to find somebody who would make that not true. And I got lucky. I did. I got very lucky, and he's wonderful. And so wonderful with the children. I'm very blessed."
