Gang’s all here! Jimmy Fallon assembled a motley crew of famous faces for some fierce competition on The Tonight Show on Monday, Nov. 10.
Fallon, 40, brought up Usher, Jeff Daniels, and Nick Jonas for a raucous round of the classic game show Pyramid.
The host’s announcer Steve Higgins introduced the fun bit, explaining, “Playing the game tonight are Jimmy Fallon and Jeff Daniels,” before the two stars got to introduce their partners.
Funnyman Fallon teamed up with singer Jonas, 22, embracing the former Jonas Brothers member as he took the stage. The Newsroom star Daniels, 59, found his teammate in Grammy winner Usher, 36, shaking the crooner’s hand as he strutted to his seat.
Mimicking the format of the original game show (entitled $10,000 Pyramid and hosted by Dick Clark), Higgins introduced six categories on the Pyramid. The four stars faced off in the topics of “Ew,” “It’s a Numbers Game,” “What About Bob?,” “Fuggedaboutit,” “It’s Not Easy Being Green,” and “Get On Your Feet.”
Daniels started things off, saying, “I’ve got Usher so I’m going with ‘Get On Your Feet.'” And that he did, busting out some serious dance moves to try to get the “Good Kisser” singer to guess his clues.
Fallon and Jonas were less than successful with the “Fuggedaboutit” category, as the “Jealous” singer seemed to have little knowledge of gangster movies. He later showed his expertise however, leading Fallon in a speedy session of “It’s Not Easy Being Green.”
