Susan Sarandon's a grandma!
Eva Amurri, the daughter of Sarandon and Italian director Franco Amurri, welcomed her first child, a daughter named Marlowe, with husband Kyle Martino over the weekend, her rep confirms to Us Weekly. "Actress Eva Amurri Martino gave birth to a healthy baby girl, Marlowe Mae Martino, weighing 6lbs 11oz, over the weekend," the rep says in a statement. "Both she and her husband, NBC sports analyst, Kyle Martino, are thrilled and enjoying the new addition to their family.
Amurri, 29, announced in February that she and the soccer commentator, 33, were expecting a baby together. "Happy Valentines day to my heart, my hero, my BABYDADDY @kylemartino!!!!" she tweeted on Feb. 14. "I love you so much."
The mom-to-be revealed the couple were expecting a baby girl the following month. "Who run the world? GIRLS! #BabyGirlMartino," she gushed, alongside a picture of her red heels next to matching baby flats.
The Saved! actress was the guest of honor at a baby shower at Fig & Olive in L.A. on July 13. Despite her growing baby bump, she opted for red pumps to brighten up her grey dress. "Attempting to wear 6 inch heels while a hundred months pregnant = wish me luck!" she joked via Instagram at the time. She added: "SO MANY thanks to my beautiful and generous shower hostesses! Love you so!"
Restless nights may be ahead for Amurri, but she's already received some help — from her famous mom. In March, Sarandon, 67, dished to Us about her daughter's next chapter at the 6th Annual Blossom Ball to Benefit the Endometriosis Foundation of America in NYC.
"We bought this gliding chair. I had used a rocking chair, but now they have these chairs that glide. You can sleep in it practically. So that's what she got for her birthday from me," she told Us. "I think that even when I was having a baby myself and even after I had two babies myself, that you can't even grasp the reality of it until that baby is there."
