The Glee actress, 28, has joined Evian and the National Breast Cancer Foundation for the #FasterThan campaign, to educate people on how quick it is to perform the life-saving routine.

“I absolutely loved Evian’s thoughtful and catchy #FasterThan campaign idea and was so honored when they asked me to be a part of it,” the “Cannonball” singer tells Us Weekly.

With the #FasterThan social media campaign, Michele says a quick breast check is faster than her vocal warm-ups, a curtain call, and even a commercial break.

Michele shared that her ardent advocacy for early detection stems from a personal place. “I sadly have many friends and family members who have been diagnosed with breast cancer, so it’s important for me to be a part of this for them, ” she said.

Styled in a melon-colored tank dress with her chocolate brown tresses in a wavy hairstyle for the video campaign, the new BCA spokesperson also spilled some of her beauty secrets — like her tip for getting shiny hair.

“I swear by L’Oreal’s Total Repair Shampoo. It completely changed my hair and has made it shinier and fuller than ever,” she said.

Another beauty ritual the actress never skips? Drinking water.

“I drink so much water everyday. Being a singer, I always have,” she said. “I always have water on hand and make sure to drink as much as possible throughout the day.”

While working to spread breast cancer awareness remains a serious cause for the star, she also wants people to get active and have fun.

“Find what you enjoy, whether it’s working outdoors or taking a fun class,” she said. “Keeping it fun always works.”
