Cynthia Bailey had a Porsha Williams moment on the Jan. 4 episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta. Similar to her costar/current nemesis’ infamous flub — #neverforget season 5’s Underground Railroad-gate, where Williams thought Harriet Tubman’s secret network was an actual train system — 46-year-old Bailey showed historical insensitivity when she compared her business venture to the Civil Rights Movement of the 20th Century.

After BarONE, husband Peter Thomas‘ restaurant and lounge, went into foreclosure, the spouses headed to downtown Atlanta’s Auburn Avenue to scope out a place with more potential. The owner let them know that the spot has historical significance: It’s right next to an old funeral home where Martin Luther King, Jr.’s body rested before he was buried following his assassination on April 4, 1968.

Thomas, obviously pleased with the pick, took the coincidence as a good sign and said that he got “chills.”

“He had a dream. We got dreams,” Bailey told Thomas. “This is where we’re trying to be in every way.”

Bailey boldly stood by her comparison and quoted herself in a Jan. 4 tweet, encouraging followers to stay tuned for another bar that they’re opening in Charlotte, North Carolina. Thomas affirmed that Auburn Avenue will “never be the same” once BarONE opens its doors.

Someone who may not be invited to the opening? Fellow Housewife Kenya Moore, who literally laughed off the similarity, quoting Cynthia and adding an all-capped “LOL” in a Sunday evening tweet.
