Russell Wilson is quite a catch! The Seattle Seahawks quarterback just can't get enough of his new girlfriend Ciara, and is willing to shout it from the rooftops.
"She's one of a kind," Wilson, 26, gushed to Access Hollywood of the "Like a Boy" singer, 29, whom he first met through a mutual friend last spring. "We've been talking every day ever since. It's been going good," the NFL pro confirmed.
Of paramount importance for the couple is their connection to God, and part of that includes their shared decision to remain celibate. "For me, I knew that God had brought me in her life to bless her and for her to bless me," Wilson said at a July 5 appearance at The Rock Church. "We're not going to be perfect, by any means. But He's anointed both of us and He's calling for us to do something special."
The athlete was inspired to remain pure with his dream girl at God's urging, he told The Rock Church parishioners in a widely cited story. "She was on tour and I was looking at her in the mirror, and she was sitting there. And God spoke to me and said 'I need you to lead her.' And I was like, 'Really? Right now?' And He goes, 'No, I want you and need you to lead her.' And I asked her, 'What would you do if we took all that extra stuff off the table? And just did it Jesus' way?'"
"Can we love each other without [sex]? If you can really love someone without that then you can really love somebody," Wilson continued. "I ain't gonna lie to y'all now. I need y'all to pray for us. . . If there's a 10, she's a 15."
Ciara, who was previously engaged to Future, with whom she shares a 13-month-old son, is equally as smitten with her new boyfriend. Choosing mostly to keep her romance private, Ciara did say Wilson's the total package. "All I can say to you is he really is an awesome person," she told Hot 97 radio in May.
