Taylor Swift wasn’t the only one mesmerized on Sunday, Feb. 8, when Ed Sheeran and John Mayer took the stage at the 2015 Grammys to sing the Brit’s new single “Thinking Out Loud.”
The simplistic, stripped-down performance featured Sheeran’s rich vocals and Mayer’s quirky backup harmonies (not to mention his sexy electric guitar solo!).
By the end of it all, we were definitely ready to — in the words of Mr. Sheeran — take them into our loving arms!
Vocally the collaboration made sense, since both recording artists are known for their touching love ballads. But considering Sheeran, 23, is a longtime pal of Swift and Mayer, 37, is one of her infamous exes, it was a surprise to see them take the stage together. Sadly, we never got an audience reaction shot from the “Blank Space” singer, but that didn’t stop us from swooning.
