Only Nick Jonas could make heartbreak sound so sexy! Following the success of his single “Jealous,” the former Jonas Brother has released another sultry breakup tune, “Numb.” The song is a significant departure from his pop star days, as Jonas, 22, sings to the hip-hop beat.
“Now you’ve got some substitute for me, but he’s not the one/ You don’t know what it is you do to me/ Yeah you leave me numb,” he sings. Up-and-coming rapper Angel Haze, who is currently dating model Ireland Baldwin, comes in during the second half of the song with her own verse.
Jonas’ new sound is reminiscent of hit R&B artists like Jason Derulo and Chris Brown. His self-titled solo album is set for release later this year.
In addition to “Jealous,” Jonas released the single “Chains” in July.
