The SNL alums have already filmed the entire project, Entertainment Weekly reports, and fans can expect to see the made-for-TV movie hit the airwaves in a few months. Apparently a longtime fan of the genre, Ferrell has also signed on to co-produce the self-referential Lifetime flick, which is being released as a part of the network's 25th anniversary of making its trademark movies.

The typically out-there story line follows a couple (Wiig and Ferrell) who take in a pregnant woman. While they plan to adopt the woman's baby, "things quickly go awry," THR reports. Jessica Lowndes (90210) signed on to play the mother.

Lowndes, 26, tweeted about the news in the early hours of Thursday, April 2, writing of her collaboration with the Anchorman alums, "It's no longer a secret…"

Lifetime, which has put out close to 200 made-for-TV movies, has recruited big stars for the network's projects in the past. Hayden Panettiere and Marcia Gay Harden appeared in 2011's Amanda Knox: Murder on Trial in Italy, while Heather Locklear starred in 2008's Flirting with Forty, and Anne Heche and Kristen Bell signed on for 2004's Gracie's Choice
