Ah! Mandy Moore appeared on Hallmark Channel’s Home & Family on Friday, March 20, and revealed that touring with boy bands ‘N Sync and Backstreet Boys was, as predicted, amazing — aside from that one time that Justin Timberlake completely embarrassed her.
“My favorite story is I’m 15 and I’m touring with this boy band at the height of their super stardom and we’re backstage…and we were talking about feet and [Justin Timberlake] walked up and pointed at my feet and said, ‘Girl, you have big feet for a girl!’ And I was mortified,” the newly single “Candy” singer, now 30, told hosts Cristina Ferrare and Mark Steines after discussing Tropicana’s new Farmstand Tropical Green drink. “Because I was a little string bean just going through puberty with these big feet.”
Horrifying moment aside, the Walk to Remember actress admitted the experience was one of the most memorable times in her life.
“I was 15 — it was the [ultimate] in terms of who you could tour with. I went from watching them on TRL…signing a record label to six months later I was on the road with them,” she added.
Fast-forward to 2015 and the Tangled star, who split from her husband of nearly six years Ryan Adams this past January, has been busy spending the last year working on new music. In January she told CBS News that “2014 [was] the year of actual progress” when it comes to development on her next album.
