Mrs. Brady, we’re blushing!
Florence Henderson isn’t afraid to admit that she gets frisky in Florida. The Brady Bunch star and beloved TV mom spoke openly about her love life to the Today show’s Matt Lauer on Wednesday, Mar. 11.
“We’ve been friends for a long time. We’re kind of like, ‘same time, next year,'” she said, without identifying her Florida friend. “When we see each other it’s wonderful. I don’t know that I would want to be married again, but I do love companionship.”
Henderson’s late husband John Kappas died in September 2002; the couple were married for 15 years. She shares four children with her first husband Ira Bernstein, whom she remains close with. She’s also a proud grandmother to five grandchildren.
Age is just a number for the former Dancing With the Stars contestant, who says she feels better than when she did in her 30s. She exercises three times a week with a trainer and is living life to the fullest.
“They love to stereotype [older people]. ‘You’re 65? Oh, are you going to wear that?'” she told Lauer. “I say, do anything you feel like as long as you don’t hurt yourself or hurt anyone else. It’s so important to keep moving, and don’t buy into the myth. If we’re lucky we all get older, but we don’t have to get old.”
