Power couple! Champion skier Lindsey Vonn has been dating golf great Tiger Woods for about two years, and the athletes stand by one another as they dominate their fields.
Vonn, 30, appeared on Late Night on Monday, April 20, and dished to host Seth Meyers about what it’s like to date the divorced Woods, 39. The Olympic athlete told Meyers, 41, that one of the things they connected over was their similarly timed recent sports injuries.
“He’s been through a lot of injuries and so have I,” explained the Minnesota-born beauty. “We were kind of injured around the same time and it was nice to just be in the gym with someone that knew what you were going through. We kinda just pushed each other back to health.”
Earlier this month, Vonn was by Woods’ side with his two kids in tow as the golfer competed at the Masters tournament. Daughter Sam, 7, and son Charlie, 6, whom Woods shares with ex-wife Elin Nordegren, served as caddies for their dad as he went after the green jacket.
“Do you like watching golf?” Meyers asked Vonn. “Was that something you did before?”
Drawing a deep breath in, Vonn kept her lips pursed and shifted her eyes before saying with an exaggerated tone, “I love golf!”
Meyers caught onto Vonn’s lack of enthusiasm for the sport, which stands in stark contrast to the speed of the skier’s own sport. “It seems very different,” the funnyman said. “As an adrenaline junky it seems very different.”
“I just… I… I love golf,” Vonn repeated with a slight laugh. Speaking to Meyers about the time commitment that a golf tournament requires, Vonn said, “That’s like five hours… It’s a long time.”
“You’re a very good girlfriend,” Meyers added. “I am,” Vonn agreed. Watch the athlete talk Woods in the video above!
