Live TV, there’s nothing like it! On Monday, June 29, viewers and audience members of Live With Kelly and Michael got a rude wake-up call that fans still can’t stop talking about as the video circulates on the Internet. As the two smiling hosts took their seats to begin the show, a loud alarm began sounding, causing Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan to look around confused.
“It’s a good thing this isn’t live TV,” Ripa, 44, quipped.
The blaring alarm continued blasting for three-and-a-half minutes as the hosts were encouraged to keep talking. Handling the situation like pros, they made a few jokes about the situation before launching into stories about their two recent vacations.
Finally after the minutes dragged on, the off-camera crew was able to find the source of the sound and turn it off.
“If you don’t want me to come back from vacation, just say it!” Ripa joked.
